FOUNDER STORY

Christie Désir is the founder, formulator, and operator of CALLO and Callowhill Greens Café and The Skin Bar.
An alumna of the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising (LIM) College, she earned her BBA in Marketing while working as a celebrity wardrobe stylist. During her senior year, she was offered a full-time role at Interscope Records in Brand Marketing, where she collaborated with superstar artists and top beauty brands on iconic campaigns and industry-shaping partnerships.

In 2014, Christie stepped away from her career to return to her native Haiti, volunteering at a small makeshift school in the rural village of Timo. It was there she learned about the Miss Universe Haiti competition and made the life-changing decision to compete—using the platform to amplify the village’s plea for a safe, sustainable school for their children.

As Miss Universe Haiti, Christie secured an engineering and architecture sponsorship from ARUP, leading to the design of a new school building that now serves more than 300 children in Timo and nearby communities.

Her journey continued worldwide, including six transformative weeks in Japan. These travels deepened her understanding of coffee, exotic superfoods, mushrooms, and the powerful connection between plants and whole-body wellness. But her foundation began much earlier—watching her mother, aunts, and grandmother use fruits, herbs, and vegetables to heal skin and gut issues through an intuitive, food-as-medicine philosophy.

Christie brings every chapter of her life together—global wellness traditions, natural healing rituals, modern formulation science, and a profound commitment to intentional living. Her mission is simple: to create products rooted in purpose, crafted with intention, and designed to elevate your overall well-being.
